Waimea Plantation

Fisheye Studio has been fortunate to film at the Waimea Plantation wedding venue in the recent past. It makes our list as a top Kauai wedding venue. We were so honored to film Chris and Becca’s wedding. They were friends of us prior to the wedding day. Because of that, we really enjoyed being able to capture their special day.

About the Venue

Waimea Plantation Cottages, on the sunny Western shore of Kauai, welcomes you to a unique Hawaii vacation experience. 61 authentic plantation cottages dot the 43-acre oceanfront, tropically-landscaped setting stretching along a magnificent black-sand beach.

Originally built in the late 1800s to 1930s, our one- to five-bedroom cottages have been lovingly refreshed. The cottages feature comfortable Hawaii-style furniture, a fully equipped kitchen and private lanai. Each cottage has its own history and charm; no two cottages are the same.

Amenities include a two-mile long walking beach, oceanfront pool, parking at your cottage, on-property guest laundry, in-room and in-lobby Wi-Fi, DVD player with recent movies. Chicken In A Barrel BBQ Restaurant, gift store, activity desk, morning coffee in the breezeway, juice and ice water in the lobby.

Nestled in the idyllic town of Waimea, nearby the entrance to Waimea Canyon, our tropical oasis offers you a slower-paced Kauai where you can truly relax and enjoy your vacation.

Kauai Wedding Venues

We love Kauai wedding venues! There are so many different types of venues on the 4th largest  island of Hawaii. In fact, you can get married with the lush mountains as your back drop, a seaside resort, or just seaside!

Things we love about Kauai:

  • The oldest of the islands means the most lush. Incredible waterfalls, tropical forests, and green mountains give this island the most scenic views of all.
  • Chill. Because it’s so small, there is a much lower population which means a laid back lifestyle. We love the island vibe!
  • The roosters. Seriously, when you land, you’ll be greeted by many of these birds at the baggage claim. The reason? A big hurricane in the 1980s destroyed many chicken coops leading to the spread of these cocks all around the island.

We recommend that you speak with a planner like L4Love to help you as you begin the process of planning your wedding. Whether it’s an oceanfront estate or a five star resort, they will guide you in the process.
