Fisheye Studio has been fortunate to film at the Kukahiko Estate wedding venue in the recent past. It makes our list as a top Maui wedding venue.
The Hawaiian translation for Kukahiko is “gathering of the clan” and this exquisite property in Makena is owned by many generations of the Kukahiko family. Makena Weddings feels privileged to be able to share this property with many families from all over the world… coming to celebrate wedding ceremonies, receptions and rehearsal dinners. Truly a magical place to create life time memories for everyone.
The Kukahiko site is breathtaking as it is surrounded by the ocean and an abundance of marine life, giant sea turtles with young ones and during whale season you can watch these majestic animals. Magical and breathtaking are words we hear from brides and grooms and their guests. This is a beautiful home, furnished in island tradition and you immediately feel the welcoming spirit here. Our caterers love to work in the kitchen designed to prepare for exquisite events that we also coordinate.
Liz and Ira are quirky, fun, adorable, and happy! That was so evident on their wedding day as they tied the knot (along with their dog Cooper). We are so grateful that they chose us as their Maui wedding videographer for their special day!
Maui Wedding Venues
We love Maui wedding venues! With a more laid back vibe, it boasts climates from snow top mountains to lush tropical forests. Because it is the 2nd biggest island of Hawaii, it gives you more diversity in landscape. This gives you lots of options when it comes to Maui wedding venues.
As you begin, we highly recommend you work with a local planner such as White Orchid Wedding who can help assist you in the process. Whether it’s an oceanfront estate or a five star resort, they will guide you in the process.
The island boasts year round tropical conditions so you are pretty much guaranteed warm weather and beautiful weather (rain is good luck by the way) no matter when it is.
We hope you enjoy this video!
