Hale Koa Wedding Video
We are thrilled to share with you Nikky and Jordan’s Hale Koa wedding video from earlier this month. For many of you who don’t know about the Hale Koa, it is perfectly situated in Waikiki Beach on the western end where the beach begins. If you are coming into Waikiki from Honolulu, you may miss this jewel as it is off the main street of Kalakaua Avenue. You may also not have seen this as an option to stay at since it is a hotel that only allows it to be booked by military personnel.
Hale Koa Hotel
For years, many of our nations finest have come to the island of Oahu to vacation with family and friends. This hotel provides them with an incredible location to stay at but with an affordable price tag. The hotel opened on October 25, 1975, with a traditional Hawaiian ceremony. A major expansion came in 1991. The hotel added a new pool, a beverage bar, and a luau garden. Later, the Maile tower was built across the lobby from the Ilima tower, bringing the total number of rooms to 818.
However, for Nikky and Jordan, this was a place where they would profess their love to each other. Their ceremony took place in the secluded Maile Garden. It sits on the grounds but is nestled between lots of palm trees to give it a private feeling. We started off the day getting drone shots from this location to set the mood for the day.
One of the couple’s friends was chosen at the officiant for the ceremony. He offered some fun and poignant words of advice before having the couple exchange vows. We were able to use all of the days events, including the first dance, to show their same day edit at the reception. We are thrilled to share with you their Hale Koa wedding video!
